With a custom addon, fancy import functions and a wonderful level of control over the way you manage your own content. True-VDB is gold standard in user experience, and usability, letting you control as much, or as little as you want. Not happy with the categories? Head into the preferences, add a "most used" and choose which VDBs go there, and now you have easy access to the your favourite assets.
True-VDB comes with 10 starter files covering several category types, from Fire to Weather, Explosions and Magic.

All of the VDB files here have been set to run at 30 frames per second, if animated. This gives you the ability to render between 24 and 30 fps with no timing issues.
We have built custom shaders for all the assets, and even allow you to swap between all the shaders. Want a magical explosion effect? Swap the explosion shader to a magic shader and bob's your uncle!
We even opened up a few values for you to fine-tune each shader, whether that's offsetting the Exposure Value of the flames, increasing the amount of detail in the fire, or changing the density of the smoke, we thought of them all and give you wonderful humans access to them all, in our intuitive addon GUI.
