If you're looking for a node-based way to make awesome, Terrains, with absolutely no limits...
Then NodeScapes is the tool you want in your arsenal!
NodeScapes needed to hit 3 goals when we started this journey:
- Something familiar (We all know what a node is)
- Fun (What's not fun about having endless possibilities?)
- Fast (block it fast, detail it fast, finesse it fast)
This left us with only one logical outcome, NODES!
Everyone who's used Blender has used nodes. However, Blender doesn't have a built-in node system for mesh generation. So we scratched our heads, did some research, and decided to build our own system.
We knew that something this new would need to be able to give the user an easy starting point to get to know the ropes. So we've included several custom-built presets for you to execute right out of the gate.
This allows anyone to jump right in, load a preset up, and start messing with the nodes to see what does what.

Let's break this down with some Key-Features
Right out the gate, you don't need to mess with any nodes.
Find a preset, click it, and add it. From then on, you can mess with as much, or as little as you like, to create something truly unique!
Everyone knows what a heightmap is, and most Terrain toolsets let you use them.
But not many (if any) let you use them, and then non-destructively mess around with them! We do...
Full Suite of Nodes
We wouldn't be very good, if we didn't give you all the nodes you need!
So of course, you get all the nodes you're familiar with. Then we build on that with custom nodes for more manipulation of your creations
Of course, in the real world, mountains are formed through millennia of erosion and plate formation.
Well, we've got the erosion covered so far, with Hydraulic and Thermal to start with.
New for version 0.7, we've introduced 'Groups'.
Groups allow you to build custom node trees, group them up, and make only certain values available, for a clearer, more easily controlled user-built preset!
Sharing is Caring
We want to grow a great community hub for NodeScapes creations. So we built in an 'Export/Import' function to share your creations with others!

We know how tough it can be sometimes trying a new thing out! Either in software, you're not quite familiar with or even as a Blender pro.
That's why we make it our goal to make sure there are Tutorials, Documentation, and support at hand. We make it a priority to deal with any concerns as soon as possible, and we man the message system here, and at a dedicated Discord channel with over 800 users, for all our products!

Disclaimer: Buying NodeScapes in BETA does mean that we may break something during an update. Although we will try our best to make sure that doesn't happen, there may be cases when it does. Please be aware that this is a BETA version and things may change/break/not work as intended.
Current Limitations of BETA version:
- Currently, you cannot keyframe the nodes and watch them animate
- Erosion functions can be slow depending on SubD levels on the mesh, and the setting of the erosion node
- There is no progress bar for Simulation nodes yet
- Only a plane can be used to displace, and it must be executed using the INPUT object node. You cannot use NodeScapes on existing meshes
- Some math values can provide unwanted results
- Noise base types do not work when plugged into an input value, inside a node group (red sockets)
